“The menu for the event was purely Southern. We wanted the food to be a reflection of the local produce,” says the couple.
The reception featured local duck, wrapped in bacon and served with plum dipping sauce, along with chilled shrimp, and grilled pears for appetizers. The guests also enjoyed a traditional Southern-style meal of pork tenderloin, sweet potato casserole, corn souffle, and local green beans.

Stephanie’s mother made her exquisite wedding gown. “She has made a lot of my attire for important occasions throughout my life, from homecoming court to prom dresses, so it was only right that she make my wedding dress,” says the bride.

March 19, 2014 by weddingsar

Who doesn’t love a classic Capital Hotel wedding? Mary and Guy shine among their cascade of blush florals (peonies, sweetheart roses, orchids, hydrangeas) and adorable macaron cake. See our favorite photos from the day, taken by Hudson Photography:

A single color palette creates a luxurious effect.

The intricacy of this cake is astounding!

So sweet!

We adore this always smiling bride! She looks perfectly happy amid her simple and elegant ivory decor.
