We are pleased to share with you the classic Southern wedding of Kate Squires and Jeff Stambough! If you felt as we did when reading the latest issue of Weddings in Arkansas, then you couldn’t get enough of this gorgeous ceremony. So, we’re bringing you even more exclusive bonus photos to satisfy your craving! Prepare to soak in the inspiration.

Jeff and Kate wanted an outdoor venue that would highlight the natural beauty of the bride’s home state of Arkansas. They found that Marlsgate Plantation offered the perfect introduction to southern hospitality for the groom’s Cincinnati family.

“The menu for the event was purely Southern. We wanted the food to be a reflection of the local produce,” says the couple.
The reception featured local duck, wrapped in bacon and served with plum dipping sauce, along with chilled shrimp, and grilled pears for appetizers. The guests also enjoyed a traditional Southern-style meal of pork tenderloin, sweet potato casserole, corn souffle, and local green beans.

The couple’s exquisite cake was a four-tiered confection featuring a base of buttercream with orange and lemon zests and a spritzing of Grand Marnier topped with butter cream icing.

The father of the bride offered a cigar bar for guests to celebrate the nuptials.

Thank you to Kate and Jeff for graciously sharing your wedding day with us! Cheers to many years of joy!
