Brad and Caitlan are both Hot Springs natives, so it may not come as a surprise the pair met while she was aboard his father’s houseboat just minutes from Hot Springs in Mountain Harbor. They happily dated for seven years before Brad found the perfect opportunity to propose at a production of Phantom of the Opera in Little Rock in early 2017.

“We walked up the stairs to the top of Robinson Center,” Brad says, “where I had photographers waiting for us. I know Caitlan spotted them peeking around pillars,” he adds. “Once we got to the top, I got on one knee and asked her to marry me. She said ‘yes,’ and then the photographers came out and took our engagement pictures.”…

Dinner and a Proposal
After dinner and ice cream to celebrate an anniversary, Caleb suggested the couple go sightseeing at the state capitol. Growing somewhat impatient with Caleb being constantly on his phone and seeming very distracted, Elizabeth admits she didn’t know what was coming. “He pulled me over to the side and said, ‘Lizzy, I have something I want to tell you.’ My heart was racing SO fast as soon as he said this. It was such a blur! Then he dropped to one knee, pulled out the ring box, and asked me that one anticipated question: ‘Elizabeth Sneed, will you marry me,’” she recalls….

Holiday Meeting
Brooke, who is from Plano, Texas, and Graham, who grew up in Hot Springs, met during their freshman year at the University of Arkansas. A mutual friend invited them both to a Halloween get-together.

An Engagement Abroad
In the summer of 2015, Brooke was studying abroad at Oxford and Cambridge through a program with the University of Arkansas. At the same time, Graham was working at an internship in London. During their time overseas, they took a weekend trip to Brussels, Belgium. During that stay they decided they wanted to become engaged and marry as they left college. They were engaged for close to a year and married just after they received their undergraduate degrees….

The Fireworks of Love
Haley—along with both her family and Daniel’s—had been anticipating the engagement for almost a month. Daniel wanted it to be a complete surprise. On June 5, 2016, he invited her to an Arkansas Travelers game with a few friends. He knew there would be a fireworks display at the end of the game and timed his proposal to coincide. He also knew Haley wouldn’t suspect anything since the plans were made at the last minute. He popped the question during the display, and she said, “yes.” The announcer even caught the moment and gave a shout out to the newly engaged couple….

The Laws of Love
Danielle and William met on the second day of orientation at Vanderbilt Law School. “I sat down at his table with some friends on our lunch break, and the rest is history,” Danielle says.

Crescent City Proposal
The couple were spending a weekend in New Orleans. On Sunday morning, William took Danielle to iconic Jackson Square where he got down on one knee to ask for her hand. Danielle—who was completely surprised—recalls tourists in the square taking photos for them of the special moment. “We spent the rest of the day celebrating in a city that certainly knows how,” Danielle says.

Capital Charm
Danielle is from Fort Smith, and the couple had been to Little Rock’s Capital Hotel on several occasions. They fell in love with the downtown icon’s Southern allure and knew it would be the perfect venue for an Arkansas wedding.

Field-Worthy Flair
The arrangements and boutonnieres included cotton as a nod to the Southern elements that flowed throughout the wedding.

Custom Cakes
HIS: William’s cake, which was in the shape of a pyramid complete with a Bass Pro Shop sign, paid homage to his hometown of Memphis. Carrot cake was his flavor of choice.
HERS: Danielle’s cake spoke to her childhood love of Disney and fairytales by having a glass slipper as its topper. It consisted of alternating layers of almond and strawberry.

Southern Fare
“Food is a big part of our life,” Danielle says. “We love to cook and our travels tend to center around restaurants, so we wanted our guests to experience delicious, Southern food. For us, that meant the Capital’s famous pimento cheese along with shrimp and Arkansas grits.” Guests also enjoyed barbecue sliders, gazpacho shots, and a carving station. During the cocktail hour, appetizers of smoked duck, tuna tartare cones, and fried macaroni and cheese were also served.

Say “Om”
The bride chose to start her wedding day with a workout with friends. She invited Kayce Johnson of Arkansas Yoga Collective to the hotel for a private yoga class with her bridal party. “It was such a great experience that I would highly recommend to anyone,” she says.
