Kyleigh Reinhardt & Alex Stout
November 19, 2016 in Little Rock
Instant Chemistry
Kyleigh and Alex met as freshmen at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway in 2011. During the first week of school, they were randomly assigned to be lab partners in biology. “We were both science majors and had several classes together, which gave me an excuse to text him about study guides or chemistry problems. Our study sessions were not terribly productive as we would always end up laughing and talking about basically anything besides biology,” Kyleigh recalls.
New Year, New Name
Alex and Kyleigh dated for more than four years before Alex popped the question. During a discussion about their future, he had once told Kyleigh they would be engaged by the start of 2016. However, she began to wonder as she watched Thanksgiving, her birthday, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve pass in 2015. True to his word, Alex surprised her on New Year’s Day by getting down on one knee in front of the Little Rock skyline. The couple’s friends and family were there to celebrate the engagement and even had a party planned following the big event.
Lasting Impression
Kyleigh knew that she wanted white flowers, lots of greenery, and candles as part of the wedding décor. “I love trying new trends and fun colors, but at the end of the day I am always going to lean toward classic looks and neutral colors,” the bride says. “My whole vision was a wedding that we could look back on for years and not think, ‘Oh, no! Why did we pick that?’ I have to be honest though, my vision wouldn’t have been a reality without Anne-Claire’s [of Anne-Claire Allen Planning & Design] talent for bringing things to life.”
Meaningful Accessories
Kyleigh wore her husband’s grandmother’s fur coat following the ceremony. She also donned her sister’s veil, which “any little sister knows was basically a dream come true,” she says.
Their Advice to Engaged Couples
“Take time to prepare for your marriage. In the end, the wedding is just a day while your marriage is for the rest of your lives. Also, give lots of grace—to each other, yourself, and all of your friends and family who are investing their time
into the planning.”
Kyleigh’s Favorite Memory of the Day
“Aside from actually getting married, my favorite memory of the day was having the DJ play Alex’s favorite song from college, ‘Take Me Home Tonight’ by Eddie Money, as the last song. Alex got so excited, and we had all the people we love most dancing and laughing with us as we closed out the night.”
