Dinner and a Proposal
After dinner and ice cream to celebrate an anniversary, Caleb suggested the couple go sightseeing at the state capitol. Growing somewhat impatient with Caleb being constantly on his phone and seeming very distracted, Elizabeth admits she didn’t know what was coming. “He pulled me over to the side and said, ‘Lizzy, I have something I want to tell you.’ My heart was racing SO fast as soon as he said this. It was such a blur! Then he dropped to one knee, pulled out the ring box, and asked me that one anticipated question: ‘Elizabeth Sneed, will you marry me,’” she recalls.
Meaningful Jewels
Caleb’s father, Tommy Dayer, put together Elizabeth’s engagement ring. He and his brother were the former co-owners of Dayer Jewelers in Conway, and he used his talent to give the ring a meaningful touch that was special to both Caleb and Elizabeth.
Led by the Light
While searching for venues, natural light and photographic appeal were extremely important to Elizabeth, who is also a photographer. “I knew I wanted to find a venue with a lot of natural lighting. Having a wedding in March can be a little bit of a risk with the unpredictability of the weather. Many indoor venues have extremely poor lighting. I searched all over the state of Arkansas and kept coming back to Kindred Barn. It had everything,” she says.
Green with Beauty
Elizabeth’s bouquet consisted only of greenery. This simple and relaxed yet elegant approach was carried throughout the wedding, including the table décor, bridesmaid bouquets, and the couple’s exit, where greenery stems were given out for guests to wave as the pair ended the celebration.
Acts of Service
The couple chose symbolic acts to represent a selfless, loving marriage. During the ceremony, the couple washed each other’s feet. “After the ceremony, before Caleb and I sat down to eat, we put on our matching Mr. & Mrs. Dayer aprons, and we served our guests at the reception. We wanted this to represent how we wanted to live our lives: serving others before we served ourselves,” the bride says. Elizabeth notes this was a wonderful way to greet every single guest.

Elizabeth’s Advice For Newly Engaged Couples
“Have fun and enjoy the process! Spend time with friends and family. Love your people. Also, don’t neglect what is most important: the marriage. The wedding day is important and beautiful, but that only lasts a day,” she says of the celebration.
Wedding Day Tip from Elizabeth
“Do a first look! You will get so many more beautiful and intimate photos to keep forever. This also cuts down on the stress of having multiple photos to take after the ceremony.”
