Courtney + Jordan

When Courtney Hunter met Jordan Hanberry at her apartment complex’s pool, the two hit it off almost immediately and began dating. Two years later, Jordan popped the question on a trip to California’s Yosemite National Park. “He proposed on mile 9 of the hike in the valley along a small stream,” Courtney recalls. “We were alone, and it was very special.”
The couple began to make plans for a fall wedding a year and a half later. Wanting a unique location with beautiful scenery, they fell in love with Moss Mountain Farm. “It was the perfect spot given its landscaping and proximity to Little Rock,” Courtney says. They worked with planners Anna Dickinson and Katy Faulk of Perception by Anna Dickinson to create a “classic, timeless, and clean” aesthetic that flowed throughout the ceremony and reception. With Jordan’s uncle serving as their officiant, the couple exchanged vows in the ethereal setting before heading to a tented reception. “I wanted my florals to complement the natural beauty of the venue for the ceremony but make a statement in the tent for the reception,” Courtney says. “The Perception team and Silks A Bloom really made everything so beautiful.”
As their celebration came to a close, rain began to fall—a sign of good luck on a wedding day. Their original exit by sparklers was traded for party batons. “It was even more fun that way!” Courtney says. After a wedding trip to Scotland, the couple are at home in Little Rock.
Tied and True
Courtney’s bridal bouquet had two special pieces tied into it alongside the blooms: a coin minted in the 1880s that her grandmother gifted her on the day she was born and a piece of lace from her mother’s wedding dress.
Jordan’s Favorite Memory of the Day
“The first look. Initially, I did not want to do one, but it was really special to have that moment with just the two of us.”
Courtney’s Favorite Memory of the Day
“The feeling of joy and love throughout the day. I was surrounded by friends and family while getting ready which led up to the first look that was full of excitement and bliss.”
Courtney and Jordan shared their first dance to The Righteous Brothers’ “Unchained Melody.”
