Ready, Set, Register: Tipton & Hurst Talks Wedding Registries

September 11, 2020 by norma@rootpublishing.com

After more than a century providing floral design services around central Arkansas, Tipton & Hurst expanded its wedding offerings in 2018 to include registries. While in-person registry services are available at Tipton & Hurst’s flagship Heights store, Conway, and Pine Bluff, their online portal makes the process that much easier. Read on for information on current trends in china and tabletop decor plus advice on how and when to start your own registry. | Sponsored Content

Weddings in Arkansas: Tell us about the registry options at Tipton & Hurst. What brands or specific items are particularly popular at the moment?

Tipton & Hurst: Both in-store and online, we aim to carry a wide variety of pieces that we know will fit any couple’s style and price point. Some favorites that you’ll find at Tipton & Hurst include Herend, Haviland, William Yeoward, Simon Pearce, Beatriz Ball, Juliska, and Vietri. When you think about your registry, consider adding items other than china and kitchen goods, too. At Tipton & Hurst, we have a plethora of items for the entire home, including picture frames, candles, vases, and home accessories.

In addition to china and kitchenwares, brides can register at Tipton & Hurst for decor and accessories such as the footed planters shown here.

Weddings in Arkansas: What are some of the trends you see in registries today?

Tipton & Hurst: Over the past several years, we’ve seen a strong resurgence in fine china, often with brides selecting base and/or salad plates to coordinate with inherited china patterns. While we see a range of colors across the board, there’s recently been a heavy emphasis on pieces with gold accents—but basic creams and whites never go out of style.

Herend’s classic “Fishscale” collection, shown here in Blue, features sophisticated gold accents.

Weddings in Arkansas: Planning a wedding can be overwhelming enough without remembering everything you may need to set up your new home. Do you offer assistance or a checklist for registry essentials?

Tipton & Hurst: We pride ourselves on our experience, and we strongly believe we have the most knowledgeable bridal registry team in Arkansas. We love to help couples complete their bridal registries, whether they choose to do it online or at our Heights, Conway, or Pine Bluff locations. We’re always available to help answer questions or make suggestions about the items they might need.

Weddings in Arkansas: When do you recommend couples start their registry?

Tipton & Hurst: As soon as possible! Once save-the-dates are sent, guests will start visiting the couple’s wedding website and begin ordering gifts.

Tipton & Hurst has locations offering bridal registry services in Conway, Little Rock, and Pine Bluff. Visit tiptonhurst.com to shop for your loved ones or to start your own registry.
